Components Required to Drive a Stepper Motor are Integrated

The microcontroller, FET, current sensing resistor, fuse, etc. required to drive a motor are pre-installed in the product.
Simply by connecting aluminum electrolytic capacitors, a drive circuit similar to an existing product is completed.

If the number of required components can be reduced, management of maintenance parts after the start of operation will also be simplified.

Driver Temperature Monitoring Function Equipped

SPI communication compatible driver and pulse input type SPI setting driver can monitor temperature via SPI communication.
It can contribute to the reduction of temperature sensors in the equipment as well as drive components.

Maximizes the Performance of the High Torque and Low Vibration PKP Series

The CVD Series maximizes the motor characteristics of the PKP Series.
Increasing the output current allows for higher torque, while full-time microstep control contributes to lower vibration and lower noise operation.

Higher Torque
2-Phase Increased Torque
5-Phase Increased Torque
Low Vibration
2-Phase Low Vibration
5-Phase Low Vibration

The characteristics of the CVD Series S type are the same as those of other types in the CVD Series.

Positioning Control via SPI Communication Without the Need for Pulse Oscillation ICs

SPI communication compatibility allows direct control of position and speed settings, motor start/stop, etc. via SPI communication. There is no need to use a CPU to generate pulse signals instead of a pulse oscillation IC.
It reduces the cost of pulse oscillation ICs while also reducing the burden of generating pulse signals.

Minimize Replacement and Maintenance Labor and Inventory Risk

Multiple Motor Currents per Driver Product Name

When multiple axes of motors with different rated current are used, drivers with the same product name can be used for each axis if the number of phases is the same.
Fewer driver types in the equipment will reduce the number of drivers for maintenance.

Number of Phases Rated Current of Compatible Motors
(A/phase)
2-Phase 0.5, 0.6, 0.85, 1.4, 1.5, 2.3, 2.8
5-Phase 0.35, 0.75, 1.2, 1.4, 1.8, 2.4

Build a System With a Small Number of Components

A drive circuit can be constructed using only the CVD Series S type main unit and aluminum electrolytic capacitors.
The fewer the number of parts, the less risk there is for maintenance issues such as parts shortages and overstocking.

Pin Sockets Allow You to Freely Connect and Disconnect Only the Driver You Want to Replace

Pin sockets can be utilized to facilitate the installation and replacement process.
Soldering the driver to the motherboard may result in replacing the entire motherboard when replacing the driver.
The socket allows the driver to be manually inserted and removed, so only the driver you want to replace can be replaced.
