What Is Product Customization (Special Order Support) for Oriental Motor?

Oriental Motor accepts special orders such as for customized processing of various products (special order support).
In addition to "Special Order Support," which is subject to technical requirements and minimum lot size, we also offer "Semi-custom Support," in which anyone can order from 1 unit. See below for a description of the differences in customization options and support available for each.

Processing Example: Shaft

The shaft shape can be modified to match the item to be mounted on the shaft end.

Example) Shaft diameter modify, tip pin hole processing, tip screw hole processing, shaft length modify, etc.

Processing Example: Motor Case

Additional processing can be performed on the motor case if the motor mounting method needs to be modified or if a sensor needs to be mounted on the motor.

Example) When screw insertion direction relative to the mounting surface is restricted
Mounting holes in the motor case flange modify from tapped holes to through holes, allowing mounting screws to be inserted from the rear of the motor, etc.

Processing Example: Motor Windings

In stepper motors, the number of windings and wire diameter specifications can be modified to match the required specifications for speed–torque characteristics.

Example) Winding specifications modify to secure torque at high speeds, etc.

Motor lead wires and cables can be processed to suit the design and manufacturing requirements of the customer equipment.
